Think about it: the less dirt that gets tracked indoors translates into less cleaning and more time for things you really want to do! In the magazine, I’m quoted using the word, “schmutz.” I think I made my parents proud!

Last week I completed training through the Green Home Assessment Program (SFGHAP), a pilot program designed to educate residents while improving the energy performance, durability, health and safety of existing residences in San Francisco.
I am now qualified to offer FREE Green Home Assessments throughout the city.

*Who’s eligible? All San Francisco residents. Yes, renters and homeowners alike!

Cost to residents? $0, plus an hour of your time

Benefits? Learn how to improve safety, comfort, efficiency, and resiliency at home

Ready for your FREE assessment? Sign up today!

The SFGHAP is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and administered by San Francisco’s Department of the Environment. The Department of the Environment is working with several San Francisco-based nonprofit community organizations – including Rebuilding Together San Francisco (RTSF) – to conduct a total of 5,000 individual assessments. Data collected during the assessments will be used to inform the direction of future outreach and incentive programs and will allow the San Francisco Department of the Environment to target needs of the city’s residents. My assessments will be conducted under the auspices of RTSF. For each assessment I complete, RTSF will receive funding that will support the important home safety and other programs they offer to the community.

Any questions? Please get in touch!

RTSF is one of about 200 affiliates across the country participating in what has become the annual National Rebuilding Day. If you look at the math of how much volunteerism will be taking place on Saturday, you will be astounded.

I think the client will be astounded, too, when we are joined by a team of approximately 22 volunteers from Winzler & Kelly, a local civil engineering firm, who will work magic in the garage, garden, and other designated areas of the home. I’ll be onsite working and documenting the events of the day!

1400 RD Volunteers + 35 sponsoring organizations / 52 building projects = $1,000,000 worth of repairs
